There was a total lunar eclipse Monday night. It started around 10:30’ish, with a total eclipse at approximately midnight. A lunar eclipse is the earth is between the moon and the sun. It will be a total lunar eclipse, also known as a blood moon, as the moon will turn red as it passes into the shadow of the earth.
These photos were taken with my camera on a tripod, a little blurry, but not too bad.
This picture was taken around 10:45 pm, as the earth was starting to block out the moon.
This photo was taken around 12:40 am at full eclipse, also known as the “Blood Moon.”
You can also see Mars quite well with the naked eye. It is the bright, reddish star-like object above the moon.
