Mr. Ogren's Music Class

Students are encouraged to wear orange tomorrow, Wednesday. This is in support of those children that were forced to attend the Indian Residential Schools. Students will be taking part in an art activity with a buddy class in the morning with Mrs. Ellis.

Just to clarify, The permission form is only for those students that wish to take part in the 5km bike ride, led by Mr. Mollinga. If you child is walking, they do not need the form signed.

The Terry Fox Run will take place right after lunch at 1:00 pm.

There should also be a notice about Head Lice in the planner. There is information about looking for and dealing with head lice. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

The Terry Fox Run is this Friday (Sept. 28) @ 1:00 pm. There is a permission form for the intermediates as they will be running off School Board Property. The primary classes will be staying on School District Property, so they do not need permission forms (Sunset and NISS).

Please sign and return the forms by Thursday.  We are also asking if each student can bring a loonie as a donation. This is to remember Terry Fox, as his dream was that every Canadian would donate $1.

The students paid $325 to throw pies at Mr. Ogren, Mr. Mollinga and Mrs. Amodeo. Not only did everyone have a blast, we raised money for a great cause. The Tour De Rock Riders will be visiting our school Monday morning. You can bring more money to donate then too.

We will be hosting a Terry Fox Run in a couple weeks.

The spelling sentences are due tomorrow.

This Wednesday, Sunset is hosting a Cops for Cancer Fundraiser at lunch time. Students can purchase a whip cream pie to throw at one of the three Sunset Staff volunteers! All the money raised will be donated to Tour De Rock Riders next week, when they pass through the Sunset parking lot on the start of their long journey.
