Mr. Ogren's Music Class

Miss McKinney, the Culture Teacher, has asked if students can bring in glass jars with lids for a project next Monday. The students will be creating bath salts and need something to store them in.  I’m assuming a jam jar size.

I forgot to hand out a notice from the Sunset Students’ Council today (will hopefully come home tomorrow.) 

On Wednesday, Nov. 30th, the Students’ Council will be painting moustaches on students that donate a minimum of $1. All the money raised will be donated to cancer research.

There is no school in session this Friday as it is a District Pro-D Day. All staff will be at PHSS taking part in a variety of workshops for the day.

The RCMP are hosting their annual food drive again this year. Students have until Friday, Dec. 1 to bring in non-perishable/non-expired food items. There will be a weigh in and the class that brings in the most will win a pizza party.

Cash donations are also accepted. Every $5 will count as 1 pound towards the class’ total weight.

We were working on Lung Capacity today in science. The students were not expected to calculate the volume, but to answer questions 1-7 on the back side. We did go over them in class orally. Due Thursday.

The Book Fair is in the library next week. I forgot to ask students to write it in their planners today.

The Book Fair Hours are:

M-Th 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

Mon -Wed. 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Tuesday night Family Night 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Math – measurement sheet due Wednesday

Lang. Arts –  fairy tale planning sheet due Thursday

We have been working on posters for the annual Legion Remembrance Day Contest. The students can submit a black and white and/or colour picture. They can also write a poem or essay. If they want to submit the work for the contest, parents MUST sign the form to register for the contest. The Legion will not accept any entries without the signed form.
