The students received bright orange sheets that are the Pumpkin Carving Permission Forms. The whole school will be carving pumpkins on Halloween. It will be an intermediate class with their little buddies. Our class will be helping Ms. Soltau’s class. We will be lighting all the pumpkins during the Costume Parade in the afternoon.
Students that have not returned a signed form, will NOT be allowed to carve. Phone/verbal permission will not be accepted for this event.
Monday, Oct. 30 – 3:15 pm – 5:00 pm: Halloween Dance for Intermediate Students (There’s also a primary dance from 2:15-3:00 pm)
Tuesday, Oct. 31 (AM) Pumpkin Carving –Classes will be working with their little buddies to carve pumpkins (Schedule yet to be determined) We are still looking for volunteers – please contact Sarah Brook)
(PM) Costume Parade & Pumpkin Light-Up – Costumes are only to be worn in the afternoon. This is to hopefully still have some normal time in the morning to get work completed. All students will go to the gym in the afternoon for a pumpkin light-up and a costume parade in the afternoon.
There are a number of students that have not returned their coffee orders. The very latest they can be brought in this Monday, Oct. 23. I must have the final tallies to Aroma Roasters that day.
We have tried to accommodate one of the top three choices of those students that returned their forms. If your child did not return the form, you were assigned one of the open slots. There are only three slots still open (Monday 4:00 & 4:45, Tuesday 7;30).

Parent/Teacher Conference Forms were sent out today. They are taking place next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be early dismissal on Tuesday.
Please indicate your top three choices on the form. We will try to accommodate your choices as best we can. Tuesday night will be the only evening session.
Most students finished the assignment, but there are a couple that needed a little extra time. They must write 3-4 things under the K (know) Things they already know about the circulatory system, W (wonder) 2-3 things they wonder. They will complete the L section at the end, as that is the What you Learned.
They also need to colour the little guy, adding red and blue blood vessels and colour the heart. Due Wednesday.
If you forgot to bring in your Camp Homewood Coffee Orders, please make sure they are in Wednesday. I must have the order compiled by Thursday for Aroma Coffee.
