Swimming starts next week, but since our class is away for Camp Homewood, we’ll start the week we get back. The Grade 5’s get two swim classes a week. Our times are Tuesdays at 9:30 am and Thursdays at 2:15 pm. On Thursdays, students will be dismissed from the pool.
Some days there are public swims after school. I think it’s $2 to stay at the pool and swim more on Thursdays after 3:00pm.
A notice was sent home today for Camp Homewood. It includes some of the basic information, including departure times, supplies, etc.

Students will be dismissed at 1:30 pm Wednesday, May 10. This is too accommodate the start of the Student-Led Conferences. The buses will be picking up the students early as well, I’m not too sure about the Woss bus. Please contact the office if you have any questions.

If you do not have scheduled time, please choose one of the times that has less than 4 already. Wednesday at 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm are the only two slots that are full. There are many available spots, including in the evening.
The Bike Rodeo was scheduled for tomorrow, but due to the fact that Sunset school is the Port McNeill Polling Station for the Provincial Election there will be too much traffic to make the parking lot safe.
We are waiting to hear from the RCMP, what date would work. A notice will be sent home with planners when the new date is set. It should be some time before the end of May (hopefully not when we’re away for Camp Homewood.) Most likely it will be during the last week of May.
It’s Subway Day this Friday! If you want to order a sub, you need to make sure that your order is in by Tuesday, so that the PAC can get the orders ready.
