The first run though of the concert is Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Students will be practicing moving on and off the stage and their songs. They will all be in the gym watching. Wednesday at 1:00 pm is the Dress rehearsal. If there are any parents or family that can’t make the concert, they can watch at Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday. The chairs should be set up by then.
The basic costume for our class is tropical – Hawaiian shirts, lei, grass skirt, etc.
The Student Council are hosting a Dress Christmasy spirit day Friday. Students can wear anything Christmasy, including hats, ugly sweaters, anything red and/or green, etc.
The intermediates have a dance from 3:30-5:00 pm. $2 minimum donation for admission, all proceeds go to the IGA food cards for needy families at Sunset School. The Student Council decided to do this instead of another hamper/food drive to not conflict with RCMP Cram the Cruiser.
Sorry for the confusion, there was a misprint and there is no Hot Dog Day today. The next one will in January. There is a Bake Sale today!
The Grade 7 Class is hosting a Bake Sale today and Friday at recess and lunch. Everything is $1! It’s a fundraiser for their Victoria Trip in the Spring.

Student Council is hosting two spirit events this Friday. The first is Dress Christmasy! That means come in an ugly sweater, Santa hat, reindeer antlers, red and green clothing – basically anything with a Christmas feel! Students will be allowed to wear a hat in class if it’s Christmasy.
There will also be a Christmas dance after school from 3:30-5:00. There will be prizes for the most “Christmasy” dancers! The admission is a minimum donation of $2. All the money raised will be used by student council to purchase IGA food cards to be given to some needy families from Sunset. The primaries will have a dance at lunch, after the eating time (12:20-12:55) for a minimum donation of $1.
This Thursday is Hot Dog Day! $2 for Hot Dogs and $1 for chocolate milk or juice.
There is no school tomorrow, it’s a Pro-D Day! All staff will be at Port Hardy Secondary for a wide variety of topics. I’m personally attending workshops on authentic assessment and math strategies.
Due to no school Friday, the spelling test will be Thursday.
