Mr. Ogren's Music Class

Our class will be shopping at the Santa Workshop in the Library on Wednesday at 10:30-11:15 am. The primaries the first crack at the goodies Tuesday. You should have received a notice and gift list envelope for money.

Friday was the RCMP’s annual Cram the Cruiser where they host a competition to fill a police cruiser with food for the Food Bank. This year, Sunset students and staff donated over 1000 lbs of food!!! Our class donated over 200lbs towards that total and winning the prize of a pizza party donated by the RCMP.  

Sunset Student Council will also be hosting 2 dances on December 16, lunch for primaries and 3:30-5:00 for intermediates. All the money raised from the admissions will go to purchasing IGA food cards for some needy families in Port McNeill. 

Friday is the annual Cram the Cruiser event, that’s where the RCMP will be collecting food items for the local food bank. They will cram a police cruiser full of food. I think there is a prize for the class brings in the most, last year it was a pizza party.

Student council will also be hosting two dances on Friday, December 16, one for primary and one for intermediate. The primary dance will run from 12:20 to 1:00, admission will be a minimum donation of $1. The intermediate dance will run from 3:30 PM to 5 PM and will be a minimum donation of $2. All money raised will be used to buy IGA gift cards for needy families this Christmas.

Sorry, I made an error in the planners, the book orders are actually due Friday.

The poinsettia order arrived late today, so they are just being sorted now. Pick up has been delayed until Thursday morning. You can come as early as 8:30 am to pick up your order. 

The class has been working on a group project for Math. We are graphing some data collected during our “graphing Olympics”. There has not been any homework, as the students need to work with their partners in class on the project, so for homework students can send a little time practicing their times tables. They can also try some multiplication games on the website http://www.multiplication.com.

The last set of Book Orders out before Christmas were sent out Monday. They are due back this Friday, Dec. 2.

Friday is MOVEMBER Mustache Day! The Student Council is hosting a fundraiser for cancer research. For a minimum donation of $1, a student can have a mustache painted on by a member of the Student Council.
