A case of scabies was confirmed at our school.  There should have been a handout about it in one of your child’s planner today.

Dear Parents,

This afternoon a bomb threat was found by a staff member at Sunset Elementary. The police were informed and the school was evacuated for the remaining 1/2 hour of the day on RCMP advice. The students remained in the school yard until the bell rang and they were dismissed from there. Due to the swiftness of the evacuation, students left the building without backpacks.

School is open as usual tomorrow. The nature and timing of this threat did not allow us to send home information today but please look for a letter to come home tomorrow.
