For Art, students will be creating 1/2 & 1/2 pictures to help them learn to draw the dimensions of the face (animals or humans). They are to look for photos from magazines, calendars, online that they can bring to school and cut in half. They will glue half the picture on their paper and then sketch in the missing half.
If you have extra magazines around your house you want to get rid of that have lots of nice full page pictures, please send them to school.

The PAC is planning the annual Sunset Fun Fair again for next Friday, April 15. We are still looking for volunteers to run our class booth, which is INSTA-WIN! The class will be decorating the booth next week for art.
If you can volunteer for a shift at the Fair, please complete the form that was sent home before spring break. If you cannot find the form, just write a note in your child’s planner that you can volunteer with your name and phone number.
The PAC is also looking for volunteers to bake cakes for the Cake Walk. You can indicate on the form or planner if you can send in a cake or two.
If you have any questions or comments, please email me or you can call the office (250-956-4434).
Please return report card envelopes and the blue card signed. You can keep the mark and comment pages.
I hope that everyone is having a fun and relaxing Spring Break. This is just a reminder that the break is for 2 weeks this year. School will re-open on Monday, April 4th.
Some students have decided to take part in the Jump Rope for Heart program. The forms were sent out today. Your child must return the pledge envelope even if they decide to not collect any pledges. The school needs to account for all the forms.) Parents need to sign the collection envelope to allow students to collect pledges and take part in the activity.
Report Cards were sent out yesterday. Please sign and return the blue card and the envelope, as we will be reusing them. You can keep the comments sheet & letter grade page.
The grade 7 class will be hosting a bake sale again at recess and lunch Friday. All items are $1, with a limit of 2 items per student. The sale will happen out of the kitchen area in the gym.
