Mr. Ogren's Music Class

An information notice was sent home today about the upcoming Jump Rope for Heart. It should be in your child’s planner.

Mrs. Sneazwell is planning a Spring Concert and will be hosting auditions at lunch Wednesday & Thursday.  We missed the announcement at the end of the day and did not write that in the planners. If your child is interested in possibly having a role in the play, they can speak to Mrs. Sneazwell for more info.

Student Council is hosting a dance after school Wednesday, March 9th from 3:30-5:00 pm for only $2.

Our Kindergarten buddies are coming to Sunset Friday morning to take in the anti-bullying assembly and presentation. The group that is performing will have some merchandise to sell – wristbands, t-shirts, etc. ranging from $2-$15 if students are interested.

After the performance, our buddies will join us for recess and then after recess we will take part in culture and P.E. The academics (spelling test, journals, paragraph of the week) will take part in the afternoon after our buddies head back to Cheslakees.

Assignments Due and Test Friday

No Challenge words because it’s a short week and the list words are a good challenge already.

It’s hard to believe, but the Science Fair is here! The actual fair is on Thursday, with the judging occurring all day. There will also be a public viewing of the Science Fair Thursday evening from 6-8 pm. Students can take their projects home after the evening session.

The second $50 for the Grade 6 Ski Trip is due Wednesday. I need to confirm with Mount Cain the total number of students coming next Monday and the rental information. All the permission forms are in.

The Ministry of Education is rolling out new curriculum for next year. There will be changes to all subject areas from grades K-9. Part of implementing this were the addition of two implementation days for the new curricula. All teachers in the district will be joining together Monday at the Civic Center in Port Hardy to discuss the change.

Parents are welcome to join in the conversations Monday morning. The activities start at 8:30 am.
