Mr. Ogren's Music Class

The Students’ Council is hosting a spirit day Thursday – Pajama Day!  Students can wear their pajamas to school. I’m also allowing one stuffy per child, as long as it does not interfere with their learning and sits on their desk.

The individual student photos were sent out today. If you are unhappy with the photos, just send the photos back to school with all the originals. There will be retakes at some point (I do not know the actual date). If you have any other questions or concerns about the photos, you can contact the office.

Every household should have received the November newsletter today. One copy per household is sent out. I will post a digital copy as soon as I get a copy.

It’s hard to believe but our video shoot day is tomorrow. We’re asking that students please try to follow the dress of darkly coloured pants and a solid colour shirt (no white or stripes as it’s hard for the camera).

We will be filming from 11-12 Tuesday, with some extra after lunch if needed.

I will post the link to the finished video as soon as it is posted.

There were two food order forms that went out today too.

1. Hot Dog Day Nov. 15
2. Chili Day Nov. 28- The Grade 7’s are hosting a Chili Day fundraiser for their Victoria Trip on Nov. 28. Orders are due this Friday, Nov. 16.

The students in the Grade 1/2, 5 & 7 classes will taking part in filling a video for the CBC Music Class Challenge. We are singing the song Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell. Students must have the permission to be filmed form signed by Monday morning. The people helping to film to the video will be here on Monday of the weather is nice to film some outdoor footage. The main filming will still occur on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Mrs. Fletcher asked me to post that there will not be spelling units this week or next, due to two 4 days weeks in a row (Remembrance Day & Pro-D).

Monday is a holiday to observe Remembrance Day. There is no school in session.
