Mr. Ogren's Music Class

The Book Fair is ending Thursday. It will be open at lunch and after school from 3-4pm. That’s your last chance to shop at the Book Fair. All the proceeds from the Book Fair go towards buying new books for the Sunset Library.

The class will taking a walking Field Trip Tuesday, Nov. 24 to the Post Office to mail our letters to someone that inspires us. Hopefully we will get a few autographs back.

We will also be stopping at Subway for lunch. Students need to bring their own money for lunch. They can also bring a bag lunch if they do not want Subway.

We will leave the school around 11:30 am to hopefully avoid the NISS rush. We will mail our letter after lunch. We will be back at the school before the dismissal bell.

I will have students write a reminder in their planners Friday (Monday is a Pro-D). If the weather is extremely bad Tuesday morning, please send a lunch as the trip will be postponed.

The students have been working hard in their planet research projects. They should be finishing up the research portion by Friday. They will be given time to type up and draw artwork to create a poster to represent their research next week. Each group will present their poster to the class at the end of next week.

“Adding Money” worksheet due Wednesday.

Student Council will be painting mustaches on students for $1! All the proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society for Movember.

This is for the grade 5 students & parents.

There is a Camp Homewood Meeting this Thursday, Nov. 19 @ 5:00 pm in Mrs. Lok’s Room. The meeting will discuss dates, costs, fundraising and chaperones. The meeting should only be 30 -45 minutes.

The PAC Poinsettia Orders are due this Wednesday. Even if your child did not get any orders, please return the order forms, they all need to be accounted for – even if blank.

The money raised will help the PAC fund projects around the school.

The Scholastic Book Fair is in the library again this year. This event helps raise money to purchase new books for the library. Our class will have a preview during our library time Tuesday morning.

The Book Fair is scheduled for: November 16-19

Monday – Thursday:  12:20 pm – 1:00 pm

Monday – Wednesday: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Family Night: Tuesday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
