The latest round of Book Orders came out today. They are due Thursday, April 2.
The class has been working hard on our animal / Science Fair Projects. Many students are getting close to finished. This is just a reminder that Monday is the deadline. Students will start to present what they learned to the class Monday and Tuesday afternoons as practice for presenting to the Science Fair Judges.
Science Fair set up will occur Tuesday, March 31 after school.
There will also be a public evening viewing scheduled for Wednesday. I’m not sure the times yet, I’ll post when I have more information.
I have six parents confirmed to help Friday at the Insta-Win Booth. The schedule is as follows: (If you would still like to volunteer, please let me know. The Fun Fair Committee needs volunteers for other parts of the fair as well.)
5:00-6:00 Danielle Gaudreault & Charlene Rocchio
6:00-7:00 Jenn Dustin & Connie Brown
7:00-8:00 Cheryl Verbrugge & Susan Norris
Don’t Forget – you get a free bag of popcorn during your shift!
The students have been working on science projects in class for the past few weeks. The base project is an animal research project, but they can choose to do a different experiment project for the science fair. Entering the science fair is optional, but completing a project is not. If your child does not want to enter the science fair they still need to complete a poster displaying their research of an animal of their choice.
All projects are DUE MONDAY, MARCH 30th! Students will start presenting their projects to the class Monday afternoon. All students must make a short 3-5 minute presentation about their animal (or experiment) to the class. This is excellent practice for those students entering the science fair.
There are some more Science Fair backboards in the office for $5.
