Our class is hosting the Insta-Win Booth.

I will also be there for the whole fair, but I am making balloon animals.

I just want to wish everyone a Happy Spring Break and safe travels for families venturing out of town.

Report cards were sent out Wednesday. Please sign the blue card and return with the envelope. You can keep the marks and comments pages.

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Friday is green day. .

A Fun Fair notice is coming home with students today. I will be looking for 6 parents to cover 3 one hour shifts. Our class is responsible for the INSTA-Win booth. The class will be creating decorations for the booth the week after Spring Break.

The shift times are   5:00 – 6:00 pm,  6:00-7:00 pm,  7:00-8:00 pm

Please write on the note if you can cover a shift and what time works best for you. (All volunteers get a free bag of popcorn on the shift!)

The money raised at the Fun Fair will help cover the costs of the school’s swimming program in the Spring.

There is no unit 20.

Saturday, March 7th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm is Family Fun Day at Cheslakees. It’s FREE! There will be face painting, snacks, prizes, crafts. Mother Goose and a Free Concert starring Charlotte Diamond!!!

A notice with more information will be sent out Friday after school in the students’ planners.

If you are not able to attend the event in Port McNeill it is also happening in Port Hardy on Sunday at the Civic Centre, including the Free Charlotte Diamond Concert.

There are a couple really good animal research sites under Fun Links! National Geographic kids has a great site (You do not need to register.) Isaac found a great site this afternoon – http://www.a-z-animals.com. I’ve put a link to that site as well. Wikipedia can be a great resource as well, but can be very text heavy and a little hard to read for many students.
