The latest round of book orders went out yesterday. There are two different orders you can choose from. They are due Tuesday, March 3.

In honour of Pink Shirt Day, Student Council is asking all student to wear something pink to school tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 25th. If students don’t have anything pink at home, there will be pink paper hearts available at school to pin on their clothes.

In 2007, two Nova Scotia students decided to take action after witnessing a younger student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. The students bought 50 pink t-shirts and encouraged schoolmates to wear them and send a powerful message of solidarity to the bully. The next day at school, over 500 youth showed up wearing pink.

This is just a reminder that if you have any overdue library books at home to please bring them to school Tuesday. We have library Tuesday morning and you need to return your overdue books before you can sign out new books.

Assignments Due & Test Friday

Science Fair is quickly approaching. I do not make it mandatory to complete a project in class, but we will be working on animal research projects that can easily be made into Science Fair Study Projects.

If you child chooses to complete an experimental project for Science Fair, I will give them the credit for that project instead of the animal research project.

The Office has a limited supply of Science Fair Back Boards for sale. They are only $5! If you are thinking of buying one, I would not wait. I also saw a few at the Dollar Store in Port Hardy, I did not see how much they were.
