There was a Hot Dog notice out today. The next Hot Dog Day is this Thursday.

$2 for Hot Dogs

$1 for chocolate milk and/or juice

The Book Fair will be open from 6-8 pm tonight to allow families to come down and check out the sale.

The students are drawing a water cycle poster on 11×17 paper.

What must be included in the poster:

1. Title:  The Water Cycle

2. Label and define the three main parts of the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, precipitation

3. arrows indicating the flow of water in the cycle

4. Draw in the ocean, land (mountains, rivers, etc), clouds, rain/other precipitation, and  the sun.

5. Must be coloured.

6. name

There is the Scholastic Book Fair in the Library this week.

Book Fair Hours:

Monday –Thursday 12:20 – 1:00

Monday – Wednesday 3:00 – 4:00

Tuesday  Family Night 6:00 – 8:00

The Remembrance Day Poster contest deadline was Friday, but there are a few students that forgot to bring in the signed permission form to officially enter the contest. The lady from Legion will be coming back Tuesday morning to pick up another batch of the posters, so those students that were away or forgot to bring in the signed form have another chance to get it in.

Under the fun links section of the website there is a like for the Water Cycle Game. It’s a basic game to help review the basic parts of the Water Cycle. We have been  studying the water cycle for our Science Unit on weather.

WATER CYCLE GAME

The students have been working on their Remembrance Day Posters for the annual Legion Contest. The posters are due Friday and to enter the contest parents must sign the entry forms. You must sign a copy for every entry. Each student can enter a black & white and colour poster. The forms were sent out Thursday afternoon.

The class will be walking to Cheslakees Friday afternoon at approx. 1:2opm returning just before 3:00 pm. Please dress warmly as it will hopefully be sunny and cold.

Students that want to enter the Legion’s Remembrance Day Poster Contest. MUST return the registration forms signed by parents tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 14.
