The students are working on a letter for the Great Canadian Mail Race. This is a program where students in grade 5/6 write letters to random schools around Canada. The goal is to be the first student to receive back or from the farthest away.

We received a letter from a student in Victoria that used to live in Port McNeill. A couple students have volunteered to write him back, to help him with his race.

The homework for the weekend is to have a rough copy of their letter finished for Monday. We will be editing the letters next week and hopefully getting them in the mail by the end of next week.

We have been working on mapping Canada and I will have students try to send letters to all provinces and territories in Canada.
