Science Fair Wednesday!

Students in the Science Fair need to dress for walking to the theatre Wednesday. Judging will take place in the morning and then all participants will be walking downtown to watch a movie. Free popcorn and a pop will be provided for all the students going.

Those students not participating in the Science Fair will remain at the school for the afternoon and we will conducting class as usual, Silent Reading, Science (wrapping up science posters & practicing presenting to the class), view the projects in the Science Fair and have some DPA outside (weather permitting).

There is a public viewing for the Science Fair Wednesday evening from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Science Fair!

Science Fair is quickly approaching! The set-up is Tuesday, April 1st after school. Those students that signed up (about 7 from our class) the judging will take place Wednesday morning in the gym.

Those students participating in Science Fair also get the reward of a movie Wednesday afternoon. All the students participating will walk down to the theatre to watch the movie. They will also receive free popcorn and a pop. A permission form for the walking field trip went home today (Monday) and needs to be returned Tuesday, if possible. Wednesday at the latest.

Science Projects

The students will be getting lots of class time Monday and Tuesday to work on their animal research projects. Please remember to bring your research note package to school and any other materials you have collected.

If you wish to enter the Science Fair the project MUST be completed and ready to display Tuesday after school.

Gary Anaka Presentation

The class will be attending a workshop by Gary Anaka Friday morning at 9:45 am. It will be on working out your brain. There is also a free parent workshop Friday evening @ 7:00 pm on helping young children to learn.

Sunset Talent Show – April 16

The Student Council is hosting the annual Talent Show on the morning of Wednesday, April 16.  The try-outs will be at lunch on April 9 & 10.

Your act must be limited to 2 minutes maximum.

We spent most of the day working on Science projects and in Math the class is working on a group graphing project, so there is no homework, as they need to work on the graph as a group at school. There will be an individual graphing project starting Monday.
