All students should be close to finishing the research portion of their animal research projects. The poster or Science Fair projects are due April 1. The Science Fair is April 2, so projects need to be at school on April 1st for setup.
We will be spending a good portion of the afternoons this week to work on the good copy of the projects. Please remind your child to bring their research note package everyday.
We are working on writing paragraphs in class, with a focus on staying on topic. Students should be using their note package to help organize their paragraphs to be glued to their posters. The rough outline is one paragraph on each of the following topics: what does the animal look like, where does it live, what does it eat, how does it protect itself from predators and finally how is it affected by humans.

Sunset School is hosting a free parent workshop this Friday, March 28 at 7:00 pm in the gym. The presenter is Gary Anaka, a brain specialist and learning assistance teacher. The workshop is titled Helping Young Children to Learn. A notice is coming home today with more information and details. The students will be working with Gary Friday morning.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! The school is celebrating tomorrow with GREEN DAY! The students are encourage to wear green. They will allowed to wear hats in class, if they are green.
Report Cards are going out today (Wednesday, March 12th) at 3:00 pm. Please sign the main card and return it with the envelope, by Friday. You can keep the marks and comments pages.
Please arrive at the school by 6:45 pm. There are two plays tonight, the 6/7’s MacBeth is first and then the Grades 1-5 will perform their Shakespeare musical. Students will wait in the room until their performance time.
It is the 450th birthday of William Shakespeare!
