It’s hard to believe, but another school year has come to a end. I just want to wish everyone a safe and relaxing summer.
If your child was away on the last day of school, their report cards are in the office and can be picked up there. Those not picked up by next week will be mailed out.
Morning will be a classroom clean out. Please bring enough bags to carry stuff home.
Class party – Dance or Movie after room is clean.
Awards Assembly at 1:15 pm.
Report Cards will be handed out at the end of the day. If students are away Thursday, report cards can still be picked up Friday. They will be mailed out after that.
If parents want to take students home after the assembly that’s okay, otherwise students will be dismissed at the regular time – 3:05 pm.
It is our last swim day tomorrow! Make sure that you bring your swimsuit and towel as it will be our fun swim to finish off the year.
The class will walk to the pool on our way home from Subway. I will be dismissing the students from the pool (unless you are a bus student.)
As a year end celebration, the class is going to walk to Subway Wednesday. Please bring money for lunch. (You can also bring a bag lunch is you don’t want Subway.) We will walk to the pool for swimming after Subway. The students will be dismissed from the pool, as usual – unless they are bus students.
Dress for Rain! Maybe even bring an umbrella. We will be doing Subway and the pool – rain or shine!
We may also go play the Prey vs Predator Game by the park near the Community Hall. This will be weather depending. We will walk there before Subway, around 10:00 am.
The Sunset Staff would like to invite parents and volunteers to stop in for a snack Tuesday morning. There will be muffins, fruit & coffee. Come on in as you drop off your children from 8:30 – 8:50 am.
We swim on Monday, but we go a little earlier. We swim at 1:40 pm instead of 2:20 pm, so we will walk back to the school after swimming Monday. We’re back to normal for Wednesday.
Remember to dress appropriately for an outdoor Fun Day! Good running shoes!

This is just a reminder that tomorrow is the Potluck Heritage lunch. This is the celebration of all the heritage presentations that the students have been making in class. I’m looking forward to the variety of tastes – I hope the students like Swedish meatballs!
Sunset is a peanut free school, so please no peanuts in the recipes. Also please include the ingredients because we have a few students with a variety of food allergies so they can check the list for anything they should avoid.
