It’s swimming tomorrow, please remember to bring your swim suits and towels.

We have a guest visiting our school Thursday to discuss Ocean Conservation during the morning. We will then have a hot dog lunch (I think they are free for the whole school.) In the afternoon, the whole school will be walking down to the beach, I believe that our class will be at Beach Camp, to take part in a beach clean up. There will be a bus to provide a ride back to the school after the clean up.

Assignments Due and Test Friday! Just a reminder that we have one less day to complete assignments, due to the great day we had at the beach.

Please check out the link above for lots of great photos from our day at Storey’s Beach. What a great day. Everyone behaved and enjoyed a fun and safe day at the beach. Even the sun came out after an hour, it was a little windy and chilly to start the day.

Don’t be late Monday, the bus will be leaving at 9:00 am sharp to maximize our time at the beach. The Maximum low tide of 0.7 is at 11:30 am.

Students should bring the following:

1. sunscreen

2. hat

3. water/drink (Can refill water bottles at the pavilion.)

4. snack (Hot Dogs & S’mores will be provided)

We have 4 parent chaperones. I would like to remind chaperones to bring a lawn chair if they want too. We’ll be at the beach for 4 hours.

Please return your permission forms Friday. I noticed that there was a typo in the form, as there are two spots for signatures, one is fine – sorry for the confusion.

I have purchased hot dogs and the ingredients for S’Mores. Students are expected to bring a recess snack and drinks. There is a water tap there and students can refill water bottles if they need.

Parent chaperones should also bring a lawn chair, as we will be there for about 4 hours.

I’m sorry, but another Permission Form is coming home. It is for a great field trip to Storey’s Beach on International Ocean’s Day – Monday, June 8.

We will be leaving the school at 9:00 am sharp, so please do not be late. Some of the activities planned are The Prey/Predator Game, Scavenger Hunt, Art Project and some fun on the sand as it is a 0.6 low tide at 11:30 am!

We will be roasting hot dogs and marshmallows for lunch, but students can bring drinks and a snack.

If there is a parent that would like to chaperone and able to bring a vehicle with some firewood, that would be awesome. I have booked the pavilion for the day.

For those students on the Sunset Track Team, don’t forget your permission forms and be at the school by 8:15 am the bus is leaving early.

Also bring a lunch, drinks and money for the concession if you want. It may also be very sunny so a hat and sunscreen might also be a good idea.
