The class did not get to planners today. We were busy building castles and cleaning up and lost track of the time.
For Math, we started a unit on telling time using an analog clock. The students completed a in class activity using their own analog clocks and sharing and telling times. There will be a worksheet tomorrow to review the concepts covered today.
Spelling is due Friday.
The class is going to be completing an art project using paper towel and toilet paper rolls. If you have any in your recycling at home, can you please send them in with your child. The cardboard tubes from Xmas wrap are also great.
The art project is making 3D Hogwarts castles to go with our Harry Potter novel we read as a class.

Friday is the final Professional Development day of the year. At Sunset, our focus is on Math development. Trevor Caulkins is leading a variety of workshops on using his program. Trevor led the parent workshop a few months back. Math has continued to be a focus for the school for the past two years.
If your child collected orders for the De’Vry flower order, the flowers arrived today. Please swing by the school as soon as you can to pick up your order to deliver them. If you have any questions, please call the office at 250-956-4434.
Friday is a Pro-D Day, so the Spelling Test & Assignments are due Thursday.
I had the students write there was a Loonie Auction tomorrow in their planners, I had the wrong date. The actual date of the Grade 7 Loonie Auction is next week on Thursday, May 15. Sorry for the confusion.
