No Planners for Friday

No homework was assigned this weekend. There was a newsletter that should have come home Thursday though.

We walked to Cheslakees this afternoon and helped our Kindergarten buddies build Fairy Houses in the forest across from PetroCan. I will post photos as soon as I can. All the students had had fun and we made it back just before the rainstorm

Dress like a Teacher Day is Officially Today!

The officially teacher/student reversal dress day is today, Thursday, May 1.

Our class took part in this spirit day Wednesday because I am at Woss Elementary all day Thursday because the school district has released me to perform some magic for the Ready, Set, Learn Event there today and to also put on a magic workshop with the students there. I posted the some photos yesterday of the students that dressed up like teachers running some of our classroom routines.

Timeline Sheets

We are currently working on the student timelines for Art/Socials. There are a number of students who have not returned the homework sheet yet. Just write one or two events for each year since your child’s first birthday, i.e. first tooth, arrival of siblings, pets, trips, etc.

Teacher/Student Reversal Day!

The Student Council have planned another School Spirit Day! Teacher/Student reversal day. Students dress as teachers and teachers will dress as students! The whole school is doing it Thursday, May 1. Unfortunately, I’m away Thursday, so the students voted to do it Wednesday, April 30 (tomorrow) for our class.

Those students that dress like a teacher Wednesday will have their names put in a draw to be the teacher for a couple activities throughout the day! A couple will lead the French warm-up, determine the Journal topic and maybe read the story to the class. It should be lots of fun!

The students can also dress like a teacher Thursday too, if they want.

Jersey Day Tuesday

The Student Council is hosting a couple spirit days this week. The first is tomorrow and it’s Jersey Day. I told the students they can also wear a team hat if they like in class as well.

The second spirit day is Thursday, it’s Teacher/student reverse day, where the students can dress like a teacher and teachers will dress like students. Unfortunately, I am away Thursday, so was thinking of asking the students if they wanted to do it Wednesday or Friday instead. I was hoping to have a couple students that  dress the most like a teacher lead a couple of the lessons, ie. French warm-up or read the story. I will post which day we choose after asking the students tomorrow.
