Mr. Ogren's Music Class

The Sunset Student Council is hosting a Movember activity to raise money for cancer research this Friday. For a $0.25 donation, the student council will face paint a mustache on students to wear for the day.

Sunset School is hosting a Math Night Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  The evening is being lead by Trevor Calkins, the creator of The Power of Ten Math program. The teachers have been taking part in a variety of Professional Development workshops with Trevor and watching him conduct model lessons in a variety of classrooms.

His program really focuses on the students developing true number sense.

A notice should have come home Tuesday after school. There will be babysitting provided. This evening is geared to parents, not the students. Please come and enjoy this hands-on evening of math.

The assignments and test Due Thursday because there is no school Friday. It’s a Pro-D Day.

The Book Fair will be running at Sunset next week, from November 18-21. A form should have come home with a list of some of the popular titles. The students will be a time slot to visit the book fair (I’mot too sure of the date and time yet).

You can contact the office for times the book fair is open. It’s usually each of the day after school and at lunch.
